Waxing is a beneficial form of hair removal as it can last 4-6 weeks and large areas of hair can be removed at one time. At Waxing Bromley, we use both warm wax (strip wax) and hot wax.

Strip wax is ideal for covering larger body areas such as the chest, back, and legs. A thin layer is applied and then removed with a strip. This makes it a more time-efficient waxing method.
We prefer to use hot wax on sensitive areas, such as when we are waxing intimate areas or removing facial hair. As hot wax is designed to wrap around the hair, it removes the hair from the root without pulling on the skin. This results in a lower risk of redness or bruising afterwards. Hot wax can be reapplied a few times without discomfort, can provide longer regrowth time between appointments, and can help to reduce ingrown hairs.
We will wax any unwanted hair unless it is not safe to do so! Below is a list of the most common areas that are waxed by our female clients but if you don’t see something here, please don’t hesitate to give us a call to discuss what you would like waxed.

As men tend to have thicker hair and more of it, it can take a little longer to remove it, especially if it is your first time.

You need to avoid HOT showers for 24-48 hours after getting waxed. However, you can have a cool shower to get rid of any residual wax.

If you feel a bit sore or the waxed area looks a bit red you can use a thin layer of nappy cream on the area.
Your hair needs to be between 0.5-1.5cm for waxing. If the hair is too short the wax won’t be able to grip it and if your hair is too long it could be a bit more painful to wax. If it is the first time having an area waxed, for example intimate areas or under arms, then it is best to slightly trim these areas before coming in.
Everyone’s hair growth cycle is different. Most commonly, waxing lasts 4-6 weeks but some people may notice some slight hair regrowth in the first 2-3 weeks. The more you wax, the sparser the hair grows back.
2-3 days after a waxing treatment you should exfoliate the area and then continue to exfoliate 2-3 times a week. 24-48 hours after waxing you can use soaps on the area and then it is important to keep the area clean and moisturised on a daily basis.
This depends on where you are getting waxed and what you are wearing. For example, for intimate waxing the clothes will need to come off. For an under arm wax, if you are wearing a sleeveless top or loose fitting top then we can wax under your arm without taking your top off.

There is absolutely no need to feel shy or embarrassed about getting an intimate wax. You can rest assured we have seen it all before and this is our job! We are not here to judge, just to simply do a job! We will always try to make you feel as comfortable as possible using towels to cover you up when appropriate. If it helps, you can call for a chat on the phone or come in to meet us first!
We are located inside the Marks and Spencer’s car park on West Wickham High Street. If you come into the car park and head to the back left corner of the car park, you will find us in a little cottage!
The 119 and 194 buses stop directly opposite M&S or slightly up from the car park. This makes it easy to reach us using this method.
West Wickham Train Station is a 10-minute walk from the clinic. By taking the 119 bus you’ll also be able to reach us easily from Bromley South or East Croydon.
The M&S car park outside our premises is monitored by automated cameras, and you can only stay there for 60 minutes. So, if your treatment will be longer than this limit, please use one of the side roads or other car parks instead. There are two Sainsburys car parks off the High Street as well as a car park behind the shops opposite M&S.
